Inside the door are two racks that are narrow that are ideal for small juice cartons. The refrigerator is equipped with thermoelectric exchange technology instead of compressor cooling. This is quieter than the normal refrigerators, and has only a a gentle hum when it is in operation.
The refrigerator's capacity total of 295 litres. This includes the fridge compartment containing 209 litres and the bottom mounted freezer supplying 89 litres of storage space. It is not frost-free, and requires manual defrosting in order to maintain its peak performance. The drawer for chilled drinks is a nice touch, and there's plenty of space in the crisper drawer for fresh veg and fruit.
The fridge was awarded an A+ in energy efficiency. This is the lowest energy efficiency that we have assessed and is a decent performance for an appliance at this price. It was also relatively quiet, with a noise score of 42dB. It is still a bit louder than some of the less expensive models we tested, but much quieter than older fridges that made a lot more noise.
Swan has kept the design simple, which is a plus when it comes to the ease of use. The fridge is equipped with an LED bulb as well as an adjustable temperature control. The temperature was stable. The middle and top shelves varied only by one or two degrees to each side of the mean, whereas the salad drawer was at 2oC. However we did notice it was quite warm in the back which could be a problem in hotter rooms.

The freezer side is geared towards fresh vegetables and comes with an ice-filled compartment. Fast freeze function is quick to chill new groceries that are added to the freezer. This preserves the flavour and freshness.
The Swan is surprisingly quiet, despite being a compressor model that is traditional. We tested it at a moderate 42dB when it was running. This is significantly quieter than models from the past decade and quieter than the majority of fridge freezers we have on our Best Buy chart.
This refrigerator also had a good temperature stability. The top shelves, middle and bottom all had an average temperature that was within two degrees either side of the maximum figure. The temperature in the salad drawer varied from 5oC to just under freezing.
As with the SR11010, the fridge requires a few times of manual defrost, but it is classified as A+ for energy efficiency. This makes it the most energy-efficient fridge freezer on our Best Buy chart. It will help keep your energy costs at a minimum.
This is an excellent example of how Swan can provide attractive retro designs at affordable cost. The SR11010 is an excellent product with a great design and comes in a range of colors. From retro fridge and freezer -blue we tested to the more striking red, orange and pink. It's frost-free, and it is also very quiet.
